Paradise Fishing Lodge – Panama

Paradise fishing lodge is a fishing lodge located in Quebrada de Piedra, close to the City of David, providing you with world class saltwater sportfishing.

Providing direct access to the Gulf of Chiriquí, the lodge in less than an hour away from some of the most productive spots in the area, and is also just an hour and a half from the legendary Hannibal Bank which is famous for some of the worlds most unique fishing and producing many IGFA world records.

What fish species can I expect to find at Paradise Fishing Lodge?

At Paradise Fishing Lodge, there are many species to fish as the location provides both offshore and inshore fishing opportunities. The Black Marlin are regularly caught between 400-700lbs, with even the occasional 800lber being produced at the right time of year. Blue Marlin are produced in good numbers throughout the year. During the Yellowfin Tuna season, large numbers show with 250lb fish being fairly common on a daily basis and weights of 300lb also being produced. Inshore fishing and bottom fishing when the open sea gets too choppy provides the opportunity to fish for Snappers, Amberjacks, Snook, Roosterfish, Groupers, Wahoo and much more.

Do I need to bring any tackle or bait with me to Paradise Fishing Lodge?

The lodge has recently invested heavily in tackle and equipment meaning that anglers can be provided with top quality rods and reels. Each boat is also equipped with two Black Magic harnesses, meaning on a productive day, two big fish could be fought at the same time. The lodge has also invested in top of the range Daiwa spinning reels.

Anglers who so wish to are also able to take their own equipment, such as popping rods and lures, as the top water action for Tuna can provide an immense thrill!

Will I get a fishing guide at Paradise Fishing Lodge?

Yes, all boats are expertly captained by the lodges experienced english speaking skippers who know the exact spots for each species and the make the most of every opportunity.

What is the accommodation like at Paradise Fishing Lodge?

The lodge provides eight air conditioned rooms with spectacular views, there is a large swimming pool with swim up bar, a large hot tub, open air dining area and free wi-fi all around the lodge and rooms, all set out in over twenty five acres located in the high grounds, providing you with 360 degree views. The lodge also boasts solar powered lighting and a back-up generator to ensure you are never without power. The rooms are all equipped with smart televisions with Netflix, and a large 55″ television has also been put in the restaurant with apple tv, so you can send videos and pictures to the TV during dinner to show off your catches to the rest of the group.

What else is there to do at Paradise Fishing Lodge?

The lodge has a swimming pool and hot tub (to unwind in after a day of catching colossal sized fish), there is also an open-air dining area overlooking the ocean, and a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The lodge is also able to coordinate and offer Scuba Diving trips, Whale watching trips, Surf trips to a nearby beach, horse riding through beautiful places in the jungle where you can see several species of Monkeys, birds and exotic animals.  

Travelling to or from the lodge, also provides many anglers the choice to stop off in Panama City either before or after their trip for a few days to fit in sightseeing such as the Panama Canal, The Soberania National Park, and even the opportunity to undertake a nighttime safari at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort.

Is food and drink included with my booking at Paradise Fishing Lodge?

Included with your booking is food and drink (including alcoholic beverages), consisting of breakfasts, a packed lunch for on the boat, along with dinner as well.

How do I get to Paradise Fishing Lodge?

There are two advisable routes to Paradise Fishing Lodge.

The first is to fly to Panama City, and then take 45 minute flight to the city of David, where you will then be transferred to the lodge by private van on an approximately one hour drive.

The second is to fly in to Panama City, and then be transferred by the private van to the lodge on approximately a five hour journey. This transfer is included within your price, so please let us know if you wish to arrange your own flight in to David and be collected from there.
